There is no need to continue shelter in place. Police believe a person suspected of robbing a nearby Casey's gas station and convenience store fled the area prior to police arrival on scene.

According to witnesses who were at the apartment complex, they saw two males pull up in newer 4-door white sedan. Witnesses say the passenger was skinny blonde male with shoulder-length hair in his early 20’s. Witnesses say the driver had brown hair but they did not get a good look at him, because he never got out of the vehicle.

The witnesses reportedly told police the passenger walked out of vehicle towards the apartments, where they lost sight of him for several moments. The witnesses then saw the passenger come back to the vehicle, remove his clothing and throw it into a dumpster in the apartment complex parking lot.

Witnesses say the passenger then got dressed into t-shirt and shorts next to vehicle, got back in the car, and the car left towards Aldersgate Drive. Nixa police are looking surveillance video from the area. Police have retrieved items from the dumpster.
