The City of Nixa recently released artist renderings of what the City’s new police facility will look like. According to information provided by Summer Rascoll, director of communications, the new building will be located on five acres of land found at Leann Dr. and Highway 14; the City purchased the land for $155,000. The facility will measure “approximately 22,000 square feet, with room left for future growth” and will cost about $15 million. Rascoll said the City will break ground on the building in August, and construction is expected to last about 14 months. The new police building is being paid for through funds raised by a three-quarter-of-a-cent sales tax that voters passed in April of 2023.
