Jerry Lee Cowan, 74, of Bolivar died Oct. 5, 2018. He was born Dec. 21, 1943, in Girard, Kansas, the son of Ralph M. and Mary A. (Winterbower) Cowan. Jerry loved fishing and watching basketball or baseball on TV. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy during the Vietnam era.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; brother William Stapleton; and step-father William Stapleton, Sr.
Jerry is survived by three children, Todd Cowan and Cheryl, Mandie Cowan and Patrick, and Stacy Eagleburger and Jason; three grandchildren, Isabella Cowan, Kassidi Eagleburger and Patrick Porter, Jr.; mother Mary Stapleton; brother Roger Cowan; sister Rebecca Comer; other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the Show Me Cowboy Church in Marshfield, MO. Cremation is in the care of Holden Cremation and Funeral Service, Sparta.
