Visitation: 5-7 p.m. May 11 at Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Funeral: 10 a.m. May 12, also in the funeral home. Burial followed at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield.

Joan Fraser, 88, of Ozark, died Wednesday, May 9, 2018, while at home. She was born July 25, 1929, in Ashland, the daughter of Clarence Lee Taylor and Lola Gladys (Christian) Taylor. 

Joan grew up in Kansas City. She met Robert Fraser, a medical school student in Kansas City, and they were married Sept. 4, 1948. They lived in southern Indiana for 30 years, while Dr. Fraser and Joan worked together in his medical practice. Following retirement, they followed their son and grandchildren to Missouri. 

Joan was a Christian and attended James River Church since moving to the area. She enjoyed crafts, cooking and, most of all, her loving family.

Joan is survived by her son, Dr. Robert F. “Rick” Fraser and wife Dr. Anna Fraser of Ozark; two grandchildren of Ozark, Tedd Fraser and Darby Fraser; sister Shirley Leavey of Springfield, Illinois; and nieces and nephews.

Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert Fraser in 2006; and brother Conrad “Connie” Taylor in 2018.
