 Services: A visitation will be held from 2-3 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2018 at Adams Funeral Home in Nixa. A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday July 6, 2018 at McConnell Cemetery.

Josephine Jones, 86, of Nixa passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018. She was born Jan. 30, 1932 in Protem to Ora and Myrtle (Young) Jennings. She was raised in Protem and graduated from Forsyth High School in 1951. One year later, Josephine married Preston Jones Dec. 31, 1952.

Josephine worked for Lily Tulip from 1962 to 1994 retiring after 32 years. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens and sewing and was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. Josephine enjoyed cooking for family and friends and collected cook books and recipes. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Josephine is survived by her husband of 65 years, Preston; children Michael Jones, his wife Susan of Nixa, and Darlane Phipps, her husband James of Nixa; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers Wallace Jennings, his wife Rosie of Protem and Finley Jennings, his wife Alice of Hurley.
