Kellie D. Goode, 75, of Nixa, died March 20, 2016, after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Sedan, Kansas, July 3, 1940, to Carlie and Geneva (Usher) Goode. In 1958, after graduating from Neodesha High School, Kellie joined the Navy. He served in Naval Aviation as an electronics technician. Kellie married Gayle Vantrease on Nov. 3, 1962. Kellie left the Navy in 1967, and went to work for Collins Radio, which is now Rockwell International, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He later transferred to Wheaton, Illinois, until he retired and moved to Nixa in 2003.
Kellie enjoyed electronics, genealogy, and photography, and Civil War research. He loved spending time with family and friends.
Kellie is survived by his wife, Gayle, of 53 years; two sons, Jeff Goode of Los Angeles and Mike Goode, of Springfield; and two brothers, Ron Goode and his wife Lillie, of Florida, and Wayne Goode, his wife Linda, of Florida.
Kellie is preceded in death by his parents.
