Visitation: 6-8 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.

Funeral: 10 a.m. March 23 at First Baptist Church, Ozark, with Pastor Chris Thixton. Burial followed at 3 p.m. at Union Cemetery, Houston.

Robert “Bob” Moore was born to Ed and Verna Moore on Nov. 3, 1934. He grew up on a dairy farm in the White Rock community close to Houston. He married Bonneta Peace, his wife of 62 years, and worked in St. Louis for 40 years, where they raised their sons, Robert Randall and Terry Jay, who preceded him in death in 1974 and 1970.

They owned and operated the Dairy Queen in Eureka, and he worked for General Cable in St. louis for 22 years before retiring to Ozark in 1994. They joined the First Baptist Church in Ozark where they volunteered at as well as Mercy Hospital, Master Gardener Program and any cause that helped others.

Moor was known for his sense of humor. He sang in a quartet in Eureka and enjoyed ballgames, gardening, fishing, family and the rivers. He was honored with the title of Master Gardener Emeritus by the University of Missouri Extension. He served as chairman of the Master Gardener Hotline and participated in beautification projects throughout the community.

He is survived by his wife, Bonneta; two brothers, Gaylord and Stanley Moore; a sister, Velma Phelps; sister in law and husband, Ronald and Wanda Simpson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
