Nixa Public Schools will welcome home Jeremy McCoy as the new assistant principal at Nixa High School starting July 1.
McCoy will replace Dr. David Kelly, who was promoted to principal beginning in 2019-20 school year.
After graduating Nixa High School in 1999, McCoy received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Evangel University and a Masters of Educational Leadership from William Woods University. He is currently working on completing his Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Southwest Baptist University.
“I am excited for the opportunity to return to the Nixa school district. As a graduate of Nixa High School, I look forward to serving the educational community that my children are now a part of,” McCoy said.
In his 15 years in education, McCoy served seven years as a science teacher at Kickapoo High School, two years as an administrator with Pipkin Middle School, and is currently the assistant principal and athletic director at Parkview High School in Springfield.
“It is my goal to build positive relationships with all students, staff, and the Nixa community to continue the tradition of excellence in Nixa Public Schools,” McCoy said.
