Gino R. McKinnie appeared in court Dec. 7 for a bond reduction, but received a date for a preliminary hearing instead.
The 19-year-old Ozark resident was charged Nov. 23 with first-degree robbery; five counts armed criminal action; first-degree assault, severe physical injury; and three counts first-degree assault.
McKinnie will reappear before Associate Circuit Judge Doug Bacon Dec. 20 for his hearing. He is currently held on a $500,000 bond. His request for a bond reduction Dec. 7 was denied.
According to court documents, McKinnie broke into an Ozark home where he robbed three men at gunpoint. He allegedly struck one of the victims on the side of the head with the firearm, resulting in the victim’s ear drum bursting. According to the probable cause statement, McKinnie also held the three victims at gunpoint while he played Russian roulette with them. Ozark officers arrested McKinnie later that day.
McKinnie is currently held in the Christian County jail.
