Charles Ellis Throckmorton

Visitation: 6-7 p.m. March 21, at Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Funeral: 10 a.m. March 22, also at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Sparta Cemetery.

Charles Ellis Throckmorton, 77, of Nixa, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2019. He was born April 4, 1941, in Little Rock, Arkansas, the son of Charles Winstead and Marcella (Hudson) Throckmorton. He lived in Little Rock during most of his school years, before the family moved to the Kansas City area. Charles served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves. 

Charles never lost his sense of humor and enjoyed being with his family and friends. He was easy going and never said a bad word about others. He loved music and dancing and making trips to Arkansas. He was a car and furniture salesman throughout his working career.

Charles is survived by two children, Steve Throckmorton and wife April of Marshfield, and Karen Throckmorton of Sparta; two grandchildren, Aspen Snodgrass and husband Derek, and Clay Throckmorton, all of Marshfield; great-granddaughter Millie Snodgrass; and two sisters, Sue Payne and Carol Wells, both of the Kansas City area.
