Visitation: 5:30-7 p.m. May 30, at Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Funeral: 8:30 a.m. May 31, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Ozark, with Father Scott Sunnenburg officiating. Burial followed at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield.

Dennis Elwin “Woody” Widhalm, 90, of Ozark, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019 in his home.

Woody was born April 22, 1929, in Humphrey, Nebraska, the youngest of 14 children born to Leopold and Walburga (Russler) Widhalm. In his younger days, he worked alongside his siblings on the family farm. He married Ruth Lucille (Kluever) Widhalm, October 26, 1953. Woody was a 38-year Air Force Veteran. Following his service career, he was employed by America West Airlines. He and Ruth retired to this area to enjoy seasonal changes in the Ozarks. Woodworking kept him busy, and he enjoyed playing cribbage.

Woody is survived by three children, Todd Widhalm of Sioux City, Iowa, Debra Charondo of San Francisco, California, and Mark Widhalm, also of Sioux City, Iowa; one grandchild, Andre Charondo; and a sister, Anastasia Keller of Columbus, Nebraska.

Woody was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Ozark for the past two decades.
