Don W. Noyes

Visitation: 5-7 p.m. June 5, at Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Funeral: 2 p.m. June 6, at First Central Baptist Church, Highlandville. In lieu of flowers, donations in Don’s name may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee. 

Don W. Noyes, beloved husband, father and grandfather, of Highlandville, passed away at Cox South in Springfield, Friday, May 31. He was 80 years old.

Don was born in Halfway to Estel and Golden (Grant) Noyes on Aug. 14, 1938. He graduated from Pleasant Hope High School in 1956. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from April 1960 to April 1964. Don worked for The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in Southern California as a District Manager and retired in 1993. 

Don and Shirley (Bishop) were married Dec. 19, 1987, in San Dimas, California. They moved to Highlandville upon retirement. He has served as a deacon at the First Central Baptist Church of Highlandville for the past 20 years.

Don enjoyed woodworking, gardening and fishing, but most of all loved spending time surrounded by his family.

Don was preceded in death by his mother and father, Estel and Golden Noyes; his son Tim Noyes; brothers Darrell Noyes, Okel Noyes, Joe Noyes and Bernell Noyes; and sisters Audrey Roland and Ina Moody.

Don is survived by his wife, Shirley (Bishop) Noyes; daughters Pam King of Whitter, California, and Robin and husband Jonathan Packwood of Bois D’arc; step-children Janice and husband Everett Evans of Springfield and Robert and wife Cristine Case of Fair Grove; sisters Sharon Dominey of Highlandville and Alice and husband, Bill Bussey of Lake Havasu, Arizona; grandchildren Nicholas White and wife Amanda, Lydia Bennett and husband Mike, Abigail Griffith and husband Mark, Anna Berner and husband Alex, Jennifer Packwood, Jessica Stever and husband Tanner, Nathan Packwood, Joshua King, Ryan King, Kristian Evans, Kyle Evans and wife Trisha, Jared Evans and wife Celina, Daniel Case, Nicole Case, Natalie Case, David Bingham and Andrew Bingham and wife Abigail; and finally, great-grandchildren Kaylynne Bennett, Kyah Bennett, Karter Bennett, Bentley Packwood, Jaxon Stever, Savannah King, Allie Evans and Sebastian Bingham.
