Services: 2 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at the funeral home, burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery, Republic.

Helen Jasmine Hendricks, 81, of Republic died Aug. 15, 2012, in Springfield.

Hendricks was preceded in death by her husband, Donald J. Hendricks on Jan. 11, 2005.

She is survived by four daughters, Candace Hendricks, Kathy Carter, Deborah Hendricks and Donna Adams. Hendricks is also survived by four grandchildren, Greg Hopper, Courthey Hopper, Daniel Adams and Hannah Adams; one great-granddaughter, Jasmine Hopper; two brothers, LeRoy Huett and Dick Huett; one sister, Margie King and many other family members.

Helen married the love of her life Donald J. Hendricks in 1950. They shared a special love that lasted until Donald's passing in 2005. Together they had four daughters.

Hendricks was a professional seamstress for most of her life. In 1981, she opened a bridal and formal shop named J. Carlen. She also loved planting flowers in the spring and tending to her flowerbeds and plants throughout the year. Other hobbies were oil painting, embroidery and crossword puzzles.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Association.
