Visitation: 6-8 p.m. April 5, at Ozark Full Gospel Church. Funeral: 11 a.m. April 6, also at the church, with Pastor James Eakins officiating. Burial to follow at Ozark Cemetery.
Michael David Eakins, 53, of Ozark, passed away peacefully April 1, 2019, in his sleep. Michael committed himself to being the best Papa, to honoring God and to being there for his family. He had a deep love for airplanes, classic cars, guns and the Dallas Cowboys. After a long battle of sickness and failing health, Michael is now rejoicing and walking the streets of Heaven with his daddy.
Michael is survived by his wife of 31 years, Dana; his children, Amy Day, Stefanie Luder and Cody Eakins; four grandchildren, Noah Day, Shelby Day, Payton McDonald and Leora Luder; his mother, Sharon Eakins; three siblings, Sharon, Matthew and Thom Eakins; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews on both sides—notably Aunt Marie who was his caretaker for months prior to passing.
Michael is preceded in death by his father, David Eakins; and numerous aunts, uncles and his grandparents on both sides.
