Pauline (McCauley) Holt

Pauline (McCauley) Holt, 89, Highlandville, died on July 22, 2004. Pauline, the only daughter of Fred and Meda (DeBoie) McCauley, was born December 21, 1914, in Springfield, Mo. She was united in marriage to her soul mate, Harold S. Holt, on August 7, 1980.

Pauline returned to Highlandville after living in Springfield for many years.  She held many occupations, one of the most rewarding of those being a House Mother for the Tri-Sigma Sorority of SMS for 20 years.  She was also a lifetime member of South Haven Baptist Church where she and Harold exchanged their solemn wedding vows.  Pauline enjoyed flower gardening, visiting with family and friends, cooking and was famous for her chocolate pie.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Holt; her daughter Peggy Noe; and a grandson David Gideon.

Pauline is survived by a daughter Linda Gideon and husband Bill, of Highlandville; a son Ken Payne and wife Mitzi, of Port Lavaca, Texas; a son-in-law Leroy Noe, of Spokane; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her Samoan sons; and many loving friends.

Funeral services were 10 a.m., Monday, July 26, in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark, with Rev. Gary Stewart officiating. Burial followed in Spokane Cemetery, Spokane, Mo. Visitation was from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, in the funeral home.
