Hunsucker, Bryan, Burkhart and Billings foursome bring home State medals

JEFFERSON CITY — Spokane’s Lily Hunsucker and Sydney Bryan, Chadwick’s Chloe Burkhart and Billings boys’ 4 x 100 all collected top-eight finishes and medals at the Classes 1-2 State Meet over the weekend.

Topping the action in Class 2, Hunsucker was third in the 800 with a time of 2:22.50.

Hunsucker was fourth in the 1,600 with a 5:17. 

She was seventh in the 3,200 with an 11:48.

Bryan finished sixth in the 300 hurdles (48.14. She turned in a 47.62 in the prelims.

Bryan was 12th in the 100 hurdles (17.06).

The Lady Owls’ 4 x 400 relay finished 15th (4:38).

Sparta’s Megan Brown finished 11th in the javelin (100-10) and Penelope Hansen placed 12th in the shot put (33-111/4).

The Lady Trojans’ 4 x 800 relay finished 13th (11:12). 

In Class 1 action, Chadwick’s Chloe Burkhart broke her own school record with a throw of 105-3 in the discus, while placing sixth. She was seeded 16th in the event.

Burkhart was 10th in the shot put (32-11).

The Lady Cardinals’ 4 x 800 relay of Ella Herd, Ralen Hume, Lexi Loveland and Rae Little set a personal record of 10:44 while finishing fifth.

Little was 12th in the 1,600 and 15th in the 800 (2:38).

On the boys side, Billings’ 4 x 100 relay finished seventh (45.46).

Kameron Clark placed ninth in the 100 (11.64) and Cale Plowman was 14th in the 200 (24.64).
