DIAMOND — Clever’s softball team bowed to Diamond 8-0 in a Class 2 Quarterfinal on Tuesday.
The Lady Jays (16-11) managed just three hits and one walk, while striking out eight times.
Clever pitcher Kylie Wenger threw two shutouts at Districts. But Diamond scored two runs in the first inning, one in both the fourth and fifth and two in both the sixth and seventh.
