Posted

Publisher Deanna Moore appointed Leah Greenwood as editor of Christian County Headliner on March 7th.

“I am beyond thrilled to have Leah back with us at the Christian County Headliner,” Moore said. “Leah brings with her a strong journalism background and a commitment to providing our readers with the local news and stories that make our paper the go-to for local information. I look forward to working with her and am excited for the community to get to know her.”

Greenwood succeeds Rance Burger, who accepted a role as government reporter at the “Springfield Daily Citizen.”

Greenwood grew up in Ozark and attended Patrick Henry College in Virginia, where she graduated in 2019 with a major in Journalism and a minor in Classics. Prior to being named editor, she worked for Christian County Headliner first as an intern reporter under Burger in 2019, and then later as both the customer service representative and the marketing manager for the paper.

“I have always had a passion for stories and writing,” Greenwood said. “I look forward to serving my hometown by providing accurate information and impactful stories for the community.”
