Posted

CARTHAGE — Ozark's offense endured its quietest night of the season Friday while putting up just one touchdown in a 49-7 loss against Carthage.

Ozark had scored 40 points each of the past two weeks and came into the contest averaging 27.2 points a game, but was shut out by Carthage in the first half.

Carthage was up 35-0 by halftime.

A 46-yard run by Brady Dodd in the third quarter to the Carthage one-yard line set Dodd up for a quarterback sneak  and Ozark's lone touchdown.

Dodd, who has 10 touchdown passes, was intercepted for the first time this season.

Ozark has lost five straight to Carthage since winning at Carthage in 2017.

Ozark's defense has allowed 42 points or more in four games.
