COLUMBIA — Ozark’s Braxton Strick and Nixa’s Zan Fugitt, Ashlyn Eli, Brenya Crahan and Cali Dupree will all vie for state championships Saturday at the Class 4 State Wrestling Tournament.

Strick (45-3) earned a berth in 152-pound final by downing Francis Howell Central’s Aidan Hernandez (44-1) 8-3 in a semifinal Friday.

Strick, a runner-up last year, will meet Liberty’s Logan Rathgen (33-7) in the 152 title tilt. They split two regular-season meetings.

Fugitt (46-1) is in the 120 final after beating Seckman’s Draegen Orine 6-4 in a semifinal Friday.

Fugitt, who is looking for his second straight state championship, next faces Fort Osage’s Colby Gray (44-3).

On the girls side, Eli (100) and Crahan (125) are looking to repeat as state champs. For Dupree (159), this is her debut at State.

Eli (39-0) will have a rematch in the 100 final against Camdenton’s Abigail Fuglsang (37-1). Two weeks ago at Districts, Eli beat Fuglsang 12-9.
