Tuesday’s prep roundup - Lady Eagles reach 20-win mark

Nixa’s volleyball team had no trouble beating Branson on Tuesday while rolling to a 25-6, 25-16, 25-13 triumph.

Maddie Golmen posted five aces for the Lady Eagles, who had 10 aces overall.

Jena Medearis recoded five blocks and seven kills, Jaycee Fixsen netted 13 kills and Ally Billmyer added eight kills.

Ozark rips Republic

Ozark’s softball team needed just six innings to hand Republic a 12-2 beating.

Savannah Hughes led the winners by going 3-for-3 and Brooklyn Hasler was 2-for-2. Hasler, Karissa Roberts and Audrey Carlton all drove in two runs.

Winning pitcher Jordyn Foley threw a three-hitter and fanned nine.

Nixa remains hot

Nixa’s soccer team ran its winning streak to seven matches by whipping Joplin 5-0.

Nixa (104 overall and 4-2 in the COC) received two goals apiece from Zach Naugle and Carson Palmer and one goal from Andrew Butler. Naugle was in on two assists, while Zach Voelker, Aidan Matlock and Butler each had one.

Lady Eagles whip Carl Junction

Chloe Krans’ grand slam highlighted the Nixa softball team’s 15-0 rout of Carl Junction.

Winning pitcher Maddy Meierer fired a two-hitter and fanned 11.
