It was good to see Tonya Gardner at the Oldfield Opry on Saturday night. All the High Strung Band was together again. Good show as always. Come out next Saturday evening for the early show at 5:30 p.m. Doors will open at 5 p.m.
Carnival shirts are ready for ordering again. The design looks neat. I love local T-Shirts. Everyone is working hard to be ready by October 23 for this year’s big event. You will all be asked for donations to represent the student who is a candidate for their class.
There were some successful games at our gym last week, and a big silent auction for a local girl with lots of medical needs. I think it earned around $2,500. Thanks for all the donations and help.
I am so proud of great-granddaughter Dusti for all her hard work in Rodeo Action for the summer where she raised some money. Thanks to dad J.D for working with her to make this happen.
Joey, Jill, and Jeff helped their mom and stepdad move from the lake area to Seymour over the weekend. Hope I don’t ever need to move, because I have too much stuff.
My phone was messed up on Sunday morning, so I missed a call from Sheila. Then I called later that day to make sure everything was ok.
There has been a lot of cleaning up behind the Chadwick Museum. This will allow us more room to add on for more collections that are available.
We didn’t get the rain (that was so needed) last week. It seems that some folks are getting too much while it misses some of us. I have lived on Swan Creek since 1957 and have never seen it like it is now.
There are some drought programs available.
My sister has two new great-granddaughters-in-law.
You all have a great week and stay well.
