River Access Coalition holds gathering at Lindenlure

Participants in the River Access Coalition (RAC) take part in a barbecue held at the Lindenlure Access on Saturday, Oct. 31. The RAC held the event as a remonstrance against a proposed abandonment of a part of Canyon Road that the group said would threaten their ability to use the access point. Attendees enjoyed the barbecue, listened to live music, and many signed a petition against the county abandoning the roadway.

The Christian County Commission will hold a hearing on the proposed vacating of the road on Jan. 13, 2027.
