Sparta screenings set for April 4-5
The Sparta School district is currently hoping to serve more families through its preschool and is looking at various options to help meet the needs of families in its district. The preschool program is free to families in the district serving children who will be 4 by Aug. 1. Officials want to screen all children who will be eligible for the 2013-2014 school year.
The district will also be screening children for kindergarten who will be age 5 by Aug. 1. Screenings will be held in the old middle school building across from the ambulance building. The district requests that parents bring their child’s birth certificate, immunization records, social security card and proof of residency.

Nixa kindergarten screenings April 16-17
Kindergarten screening will be held at the Faught Administration Center April 16 and 17. For children who will be 5 on or before July 31 and will be attending kindergarten in the fall call (417) 449-3180 to set up an appointment.
Billings sets pre-school kindergarten screenings
Billings Elementary will conduct screenings by appointment only March 27 and 28. Parents or legal guardians must be present. Children screening for preschool must be the age of 4 by July 31. Children screening for kindergarten must be age 5 before July 31. Contact the Elementary office at (417) 744-2552 to schedule an appointment.
Ozark to begin kindergarten screening April 4
The Ozark school district will begin scheduling appointments for kindergarten April 4. Available dates will vary throughout mid to late April. Children eligible to enroll need to be 5 before Aug. 1. The district asks that parents wait to contact individual school until the April 4 opening date.
The district’s Parents as Teachers organization will also be scheduling free developmental screening for all children 3 months to 4 years old who reside within the school district.
