Many people forget or do not even know what Christmas is all about. They do not understand that the symbolism of gifts came from wise men bringing gifts to the baby Jesus in a stable long ago. They do not know the true Christmas story. Even those, who know get caught up in commercialism.

Now, I am really counting the days to Christmas and wishing for great weather to have the family in to celebrate. Hopefully, they can all make it safely and we won't have some of the emergencies like we had last year. ( the propane had leaked out and I wasn't aware of it until there was no heat and no cooking. MFA was so good to send someone out and he got everything going by noon. I am going to check everything next week. And, I don't need high water!!!!

Students were smiling from ear to ear as they held the oversized scissors and proudly cut the red ribbon to their new apartment on Dec. 12. That’s right, a group of Ozark High School students have an apartment in the Ozark Innovation Center. Don’t worry, they don’t live there, but the space will be a vital part of hands-on learning for the District’s special education department.

In between the blockbusters of the Thanksgiving season and the blockbusters of the Christmas season comes “Kraven the Hunter,” a movie that was never going to be a blockbuster in any season. Sergei “Kraven” Kravinoff (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) is another one of those Spider-Man villains that’s getting his own movie because Sony still has a piece of the “Spider-Man” franchise and they think fans will mistake it for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is owned by Disney. “Venom,” “Morbius,” and “Madame Web” are all part of the same branch. Supposedly there are (or at least “were”) plans for a big Avengers-style crossover down the line, but these movies keep bombing so badly that fans don’t care if they continue.
