On the evening of Tuesday, Dec. 24, the Ozark Fire Protection District (OFPD) came to the rescue of a family whose house caught on fire. The OFPD put out the fire with mutual aid from the fire protection districts in Sparta and Nixa, while the Logan-Rogersville Fire Protection District provided district coverage. Also responding to the scene were Christian County Emergency Services, Christian County Ambulance District, the Ozark Police Department, Christian County Emergency Management, and the American Red Cross of Missouri. more

Officer Richardson has been employed by the Ozark Police Department since May 2021 and is currently assigned to the Special Operations Division's Traffic Unit as a Traffic Enforcement Officer. Students were smiling from ear to ear as they held the oversized scissors and proudly cut the red ribbon to their new apartment on Dec. 12. That’s right, a group of Ozark High School students have an apartment in the Ozark Innovation Center. Don’t worry, they don’t live there, but the space will be a vital part of hands-on learning for the District’s special education department. more

Ozark Rotary Club recently donated $8,000 to Ozark School District programs. Care to Learn Ozark, which helps meet the immediate needs of students in the areas of health, hunger, and hygiene, received $4,000, while Finley River School, which provides alternative education, also received $4,000. more
