Bess Louise Arnold, 74, Nixa, died Feb. 24, 2003, in Christian Health Care of Nixa. She was born August 23, 1928 in Florence, Ala., the daughter of James Wesley and Mary (Holloman) Brewer.
Arnold was a member of North Nixa Baptist Church in Nixa. She had been a member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Milan, N.M. for 30 years. She was an active volunteer of Mission Service Corps Prison Ministry of S.B.C. in Milan for 10 years before retiring to Nixa.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Floyd Arnold, Nixa; two sons and their wives, Rick Leon and Wanda June Arnold, Gurdon, Ark., and Mark and Jackie Arnold of Nixa; four grandchildren, Sarah, Taylor, Seth, and Jonathan Arnold, all of Nixa; three step-grandchildren, Regina and Timothy Brown of Gurdon, Ark., and Kathleen Hastings of Prescott, Ark.; two brothers, James Wesley Brewer, Jr., and Jessie Brewer, both of Mississippi; nieces and nephews.
Services were 10 a.m. Feb. 26 in North Nixa Baptist Church with the Revs. Jerry Fransisco and Mark Arnold officiating. Burial was in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield. Arrangements were under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
