Flora Louise Bunch

Funeral services for Mrs. Flora Louise Bunch, 82, Sparta, formerly of Kimberling City, were 2 p.m. July 22 at the Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home, Branson. Chuck Eakins officiated with burial following in the Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson. Flora passed away July 19 in Sparta.

Bunch was born on March 12, 1926, in Sand Springs, Okla., to Harvey Valentine and Edna Marie (Jones) Durbin. She attended the Adair Oklahoma High School in Adair, Okla. Flora married Luther Thomas in 1942 and was blessed with five children. They celebrated 39 years together before Luther passed away in 1981. She married John Bunch in 1984 and they celebrated 17 years together before he passed away in 2001. Flora has worked for a garment factory as a machine operator during her younger years. She was a member of the United Garment Workers Union and was union president for a period of time. She was a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother. Flora enjoyed gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harvey and Edna Durbin; her two husbands; three brothers Ralph, Leroy and Alfred; two sisters Mildred Jeans and Wanda Lou Watts.

Flora is survived by five sons John and wife Connie Thomas of Oldfield; Mike Bunch of Oregon; Jackie Thomas of Ozark; Alfred and wife Paulette Thomas of Ozark; Glenn and wife Janice Thomas of Kimberling City; daughter Linda Yancy of Sparta; 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
