Funeral: 11 a.m. April 23 at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Pastor Art Hicklin officiating. Burial was at Hopedale Cemetery.
Helen Maxine Wallen, 84, of Nixa, died April 20, 2016. She was born Oct. 15, 1931, in Ethel, the daughter of Frank and Vada (Kiser) Clardy. Her parents preceded her in death as well as her sister, Shirley Woodburn.
Survivors include daughter, Linda Burns and husband Frank; sons Alan Wallen and wife Tye, Bret Wallen and Jon Wallen of the home; a brother, Barry Clardy and wife Marie; seven grandchildren, Chris and Tonya Burns, Cody and Jeremy Wallen and Eli, Eric and Samantha Wallen; a host of great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Helen was a member of Fremont Hills Baptist Church. She was a contributor to the Humane Society.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Humane Society in Springfield in Helen’s memory.
