Service: Noon Saturday, July 1, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Burial will follow in Stillings Cemetery, Douglas County. Visitation: 10 a.m. July 1 in the funeral home.
Janet Jones, 66, of Oldfield, died Wednesday, June 28, 2017. She was born Aug. 29, 1950, one of 14 children born to Elzie and Dora Bell (Williams) Stillings. She was a 1968 graduate of Ava High School.
Janet loved her family and always looked forward to spending time with them. She was a devoted grandmother. She and Alan Lee Jones have been married for 29 years. Janet worked in the deli department at Town and Country Grocery in Sparta, and enjoyed meeting customers in the community. She had a great sense of humor and was hardworking. In her spare time Janet rode her horse, Ruby, cared for her dogs, tended her bountiful garden and enjoyed antiques. She was a member of Oldfield Full Gospel Church.
Survivors include: Her husband Alan; children, Marsha and Allison; step-children, Lance and Janell; grandchildren, Tatum, Madeliene, Leighton, Brock, Joseph, Autumn, Connor, Shea and Kinson; two brothers Dale Stillings and Leon Stillings; other relatives and many friends.
Janet was preceded in death by: A daughter Melissa; a grandson, Nicholas; brothers, Marvin, Vernis, Vernie and Elzie Jr; sisters Fern, Marie, Imogene, Melvrine, Bethene, Mildred and Donna Sue; and her parents.
