Jean Henson

Posted

Jean Henson went home to be with the Lord July 2, 2018, after winning a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease and dementia. Jean was born and raised in Virginia, in the small town of Bridgewater. She served in the Army for four years after graduating from high school, and she loved the country she served.

After marrying Bill in 1962, they lived in the Washington D. C. area, then in Grand Rapids, Michigan, before moving to Ozark where Jean was an active resident for over 30 years. Her husband passed away in 2000, and then in 2006, she went back to Virginia to live with her sister. Jean was a real estate agent and then an appraiser for many years. She was a member of Ozark Presbyterian Church and was active in several ministries there. She and Bill enjoyed camping trips and sight-seeing, and she especially loved all the many dogs she had over the years. She enjoyed being with people and often defined a stranger as just somebody she hadn’t met yet.  She is survived by her sister, Sandy North.
