Linda Lou (Lynch) Uhler, 72, of Springfield, died Feb. 19, 2017, with family by her side. She was born Dec. 8, 1944, in Kansas City and was raised in Gallatin, where she graduated from high school in 1962. Linda attended the University of Missouri-Columbia where she met husband Edward.

She worked 34 years with the American Cancer Society and retired as senior vice president of field operations in the National Home Office in Atlanta, Georgia, where she and Skip lived over 16 years with their Shih Tzus. In retirement, she enjoyed entertaining, traveling, playing Mah Jong and advocating for human rights, climate change, and other causes. Linda stayed connected with family and friends.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Dorothy Lynch; and nephew, Chris Evans. She is survived by her husband of more than 49 years, Skip; furry kids, Andy, Tori and Rocky; sisters, Sandy Evans (Steve) and Susan Spruill (John); sister-in-law, Lynn Uhler; nieces and nephews, Nancy Evans Bifulco, Todd Evans, Jack Spruill (Julie), Liz Spruill (Austen) and Jonathan Spruill, and great nieces and nephews, Mary Bifulco, Hannah Evans, Pfifer, Lincoln, and Henley Spruill and Hunter Gargis.
