Funeral: 11 a.m. June 28, at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Rev. Jeffrey Sippy officiating. Family visitation to be held one hour prior to service. Lois Ellen Buchardt, 86, formerly of Fremont and Arlington, Nebraska, was born March 31, 1932 in Fremont, Nebraska to Robert A. and Nona M. (Hassen) Willmer, and passed away June 22, 2018, in Springfield.
Lois attended Fremont Public Schools and was a 1950 graduate of Fremont High School. On Dec. 2, 1950, she married Emil E. Buchardt at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church of which she was a lifelong member. Emil died Nov. 4, 1987. They were married for 37 years.
She was employed at Arlington Public Schools and USF&G Insurance Co. in Omaha. She moved to Missouri in 2012 to be near her children.
Lois is survived by Pamela Anderson of Nixa, and Denise (D. Michael) Corbin of Fayetteville, Arkansas; one son, Todd and wife Patti Buchardt of Southlake, Texas; five grandchildren; sic=x great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; sister Glorian “Mick” Wickham of Gravois Mills; and sister-in-law Nadine Sorensen of Arlington, Nebraska.
In addition to her husband, Lois was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law Jerry Anderson; and sister Doris Arnold.
