Martha Susan Flood

Martha Susan Flood, 93, Ozark, passed away Feb. 26, 2009. She was born Feb. 24, 1916 in Ozark, the daughter of James B. and Amanda (Page) Anderson.

In March of 1937 she married Leslie Flood. Martha was a homemaker and loved taking care of her family. She attended Ozark High School and Draughon University. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Ozark and the Ozark Study Club, Eastern Star, Modern Seekers and was an avid bridge player.

Survivors include: her daughter, Perianne Rantz and husband Blaine, Galena; her son, Jim Flood and wife Becky, Nixa; five grandchildren, Merri Anne Merlo, Ozark, Mandy Jentzsch, Colorado, Stacey Brumley, Kansas City, Terri Albarado and husband Rudy, Nixa, and Jerri Martin and husband Duane, Clever; seven great grandchildren, Westin Martin, Dakota Albarado, Jesse Martin, Austin Albarado, Joey Merlo, Alec Merlo, and Ayden Peterson; a sister, Polly Seals, Ozark; two sisters-in-law, Grace Anderson, Springfield and Eloise Flood, Springfield; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leslie; two brothers, Frank and Gratz Anderson; and two sisters, Gussie Haguewood and Mary Ellen Anderson.

A funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Feb. 28 in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark with Pastors Troy Rhoden and Jim Jeffries officiating.

Burial followed in Selmore Cemetery. Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 27 in the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Ozark.
