Nixa's six District champs lead Lady Eagles over four-time state champ Lebanon

BELTON — Nixa’s girls had six Class 2 District 3 champions crowned Saturday.

The Lady Eagles’ champs included Kelsey Watts, Mylee Harper, Abigail Counts, Addison Harkins, Brenya Crahan and Caly Dupree.

Nixa won the team title with 272 points, while four-time State champion Lebanon was second with 210.

Watts (40-2) won her 105 title tilt by fall in 1:27 against Willard’s Bailee Cash.

Harper (36-10) took the 120 final by pinning Jazlyn Smith-Freeman, of Smith-Cotton, in 4:46.

Counts (34-12) claimed the 125 title by pinning Vittoria Wiley, of Rolla, in 1:44.

Harkins (46-5) won the 130 championship thanks to a 7-2 win against Jasmine Wolfe, of Smith-Cotton.

Crahan (48-0) gained a 12-0 major decision in the 145 final versus Serenity Tilford, of Rolla.

Dupree (36-2) pinned Willard’s Ellie Higginbotham in 5:10 in the 155 title tilt.

The top finishers at each weight class made State.

Other State qualifiers for Nixa include Ava Frye at 135, Brylee James at 140, Jesse Nelson at 190, Ashton Mayes at 110 and Ava Hansen at 100.

Ozark’s State qualifiers include Emma Tsaruk at 115 and Maelynn Sundlie at 135.
