Sparta center Jacob Lafferty has been rewarded for averaging a double-double by being named to the All-SWCL First Team.
Lafferty’s sophomore season saw him put up averages of 17.7 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. He shot 67 percent from the field.
Lafferty is joined on the First Team by Spokane senior forward Jaden McCoy, who topped the conference with a 21.5 scoring average. He also averaged 6.7 rebounds a game.
The SWCL Player of The Year is Isaiah Mitchell, of Blue Eye. The rest of the First Team includes Blue Eye’s Ryan Cardenzana, Southwest’s Cruz Marquez and Crane’s Aiden Vaught.
Named to the Second Team are Spokane’s JD Tate, Sparta’s Kavan Walker, Billings’ Cole Plowman, Blue Eye's Lance Clark, Crane’s Taylor Calzaretta, Blue Eye’s Ryan Cardenzana and Galena’s Ethan Bailey.
Tate, a junior center, averaged a double-double himself. His nightly norms were Tate 18.6 points and 10.0 rebounds.
Walker, a junior guard, shot 45 percent from 3-point land while making 81 treys and averaging 10.1 points a game.
Plowman, a junior guard, averaged 16 and 7.5 rebounds a game.
Among those receiving honorable mention recognition are Sparta’s Dexter Loveland and Walker Loveland, Spokane’s Jace Leigh and Billings’ Zach Bos and Brayden Garbee.
Dexter Loveland averaged 12.1 points a game and Walker Loveland averaged 4.0 assists a night.
Leigh scored at a 10.3 points-per-game clip and dished out an average of 4.4 assists a game.
Bos’ averages included 12 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.9 steals a night. Garbee scored 11 points a game.
