Nixa’s Malachi Rider and Curtis Glossip came home with ‘Tonka hammers after winning championships at the Winnetonka Tournament on Saturday.
Rider upped his record to 15-2 while beating Pleasant Hill’s Lady Snyder 7-0 in the 157 final.
Glossip improved to 20-6 as he downed Neosho’s Chase Kivett in the 165 championship match.
Ozark’s Damien Moseley posted a runner-up finish at 113 pounds. With :27 remaining in his title tilt match with Mac Crosson, of Indianola (Iowa), Moseley was forced to injury default.
Moseley improved his record on the season to 27-4
Ozark’s Caden Harrington (23-10) placed fourth at 132, while Dayton Moison (25-10) was fifth at 157, Johnny Williams (29-9) fifth at 190, Keaton Hurst (25-9) sixth at 126, Ruben Arvizu (26-10) sixth at 215 and Logan Luder (24-10) seventh at 120.
Nixa’s Reed Wilson (18-9) finished sixth at 144, while Kaden Young (19-10) was sixth at 150, Tobias Thompson (20-9) seventh at 175 and Josiah Farris (17-10) seventh at 285.
Ozark and Nixa will take part in the COC Tournament on Saturday in Willard.
