The Ozark Community Center held their annual Eggstravaganza on Saturday, March 28. The event included an Easter Egg hunt, inflatables, games, and pictures with the Easter Bunny.

Clever First Baptist Church held their annual Easter Egg hunt at Clever High School on Sunday, March 29. About 1,500 people attended the event, where kids vied for a share of 10,000 candy-filled eggs, some of which were dropped onto the field from a helicopter. Additionally, the event included inflatable buildings and free food. All photos by Steve Chapman.

Gary Edward Lynch, 83, of Nixa, was promoted to glory when he went home to be with his Savior he loved so dearly on March 17, 2026. Gary was born to Edward and Dorothy Lynch on July 19, 1943, in Iron Mountain, Mich. He married Beverly Ann Lynch on May 19, 1982. After her passing, Gary married Beverly Kay Lynch on January 8, 2000. He had to find another Beverly since he had ‘Bev’ tattooed on his forearm when he was in the Navy!

Bob, 93, was born in Chadwick, Mo. to Ed and Ida Bell Boles. He was a graduate of School of the Ozarks. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany. He taught at Ritenour High School. He owned Evelyn Wood Reading Dynamics and subsequently Education Unlimited. He was an active member of various Chambers of Commerce and SCORE. He was an avid outdoors enthusiast.

Donald L. Klug, 79, died March 16, 2026, at the University of Kansas Health System, Great Bend Campus. He was born Aug. 31, 1946, in Great Bend, Kans. the oldest son of Joseph W. and Eleanor Z. (Boor) Klug. Don graduated with his master’s in accounting from Kansas State University. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.

A city charter is a locally written “constitution” that lays out how our city government is organized and how it operates—tailored to Ozark’s needs instead of a one-size-fits-all set of state rules for fourth-class cities. Yes, Ozark is treated as a fourth-class according to the state’s legislature. A charter changes that.
