Here we are with another half month behind us. I don't know what happens; things don't get finished like they used to. Maybe too much is on the list.

Got my oil changed last week, then dropped in to the Chinese Place on top of the hill in Ozark. Learned they will be closing soon.

The kids have one week of school behind them, and I am hearing happy kids and a few not there yet. It will get better! I haven't heard any reports of problems with "The no phone in classrooms". No one can say they use their phones in other schools.

Welcome to a new month of a summer that has gone much too quickly. We sometimes complained about getting too much rain in the Springtime. Now, we could use a good shower, just not a flood!

I got a new baby quilt finished for a friend of mine. Now, it put me in the mood for being creative, even though there are too many projects going on around me.

I feel so sad for all the many folks who have been in the huge flood in Texas. Those can happen so quickly and without warning. Swan Creek can get dangerous sometimes, but nothing compared to the Texas Flood.

Another day, more money spent. I may need to spend more time off the road. Of course, I spend the most money on the farm ( a place I love).

Summertime has sure come, and the wind has made the heat feel worse. It doesn't help that my air conditioner stopped on Friday evening, and they can't get here to fix it until early Monday morning. Oh well, I lived without an air conditioner for many years, and a few days won't hurt me. It will make me appreciate it more when it gets fixed.

That old wind just keeps on blowing and moving things around. When I look out and things look strange, it is because that was either in the backyard or maybe out in the field the day before.

One week of April is behind us, and we had every kind of weather this past week. I feel for all the folks whose life had been destroyed by floods, tornadoes, fires, or just plain old heavy winds. The water went across my pasture in three small streams. It didn't take the fences out like it had in the past.
