The Ozark Senior Center holds A Lifetime of Stories from 9:30-11 a.m. Seniors are encouraged to write and share their life stories, memories, and events that they want to pass on to their descendants. Every FIRST and THIRD Tuesday

The Christian County Lions Club meets at 6:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday at Dickey's Barbecue Pit in Nixa, located at 111 N. Massey Blvd. in Nixa. On the third Tuesday, the Lions meet at Godfather's Pizza, located at 510 E. South St. in Ozark. Members of the community interested in learning more about the Lions Club are invited to attend meetings.

Thursday, Sept. 10-Friday, Sept. 11: Legacy Bank and Trust in Sparta is celebrating longtime employee Marilyn Millsap as she begins her retirement. On Thursday, the Good Pizza Company food truck will provide free pizza, chips, and drinks from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. On Friday, the bank will provide free cake and drinks. The Nixa Chamber of Commerce is holding the Nixa Citywide Garage Sale. A digital garage sale map will be available on the Nixa Chamber of Commerce website beginning Monday, Sept. 7 at www.nixachamber.com; locations can be registered on the digital map through Friday, Sept. 4.

Saturday Sept. 12: American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 434, Nixa is holding a Bingo fundraiser at 591 N. McCloskey in Nixa. Doors open at 1:30 p.m., Bingo runs from 2-4 p.m. Admission is $10 at the door, including nine games. Additional games available for $1 each. Refreshments served, come win a prize.

Tuesday, Sept. 15: CC Links will host their 40th Anniversary celebration at the McCauley Park Pavilion at 701 N. Taylor Way in Nixa from 3-6 p.m. The event will include a community celebration and cookout.

Thursday, Sept. 17: The University of Missouri School of Law Veterans Clinic, Tigers for Troops, is offering free legal consultations for Veterans from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Christian County MU Extension Office, 1701 W Jackson St., Suite B, Ozark, MO 65721. Experienced veterans law attorneys, assisted by law students, will provide free consultations regarding: U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) disability compensation benefits, military discharge upgrades, and access to VA healthcare. The Ozark Chamber of Commerce is holding a ribbon cutting at Greenlawn Funeral Home at 11:30 a.m. Greenlawn Funeral Home is located at 1700 S. 15th St. in Ozark.

Saturday, Sept. 19: Christian County C.A.R.E.S. is holding their second annual car show at Cassidy United Methodist Church from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. The event will include raffles, a silent auction and entertainment. Cars can be registered online at https://christiancountycares.org. Cassidy United Methodist Church is located at 5151 N. Fremont Road.

The Christian County Museum and Historical Society is taking another field trip; this time to the beautiful and historic Bull Creek. Meet at the Museum (100 E Elm Ozark MO) at 3 p.m. to caravan or get a map. Please bring a chair, insect spray and water bottle. Henry Schoolcraft, the 1st Iowa Infantry Union Army, and Native Americans all camped by Bull Creek; plus there is historic Cobb-Keaton cemetery and the old Bull Mill site.

The Ozark Senior Center is hosting their Bingo-Rama fundraiser. Doors open at 2:30 p.m.; the event lasts from 3-5 p.m. Admission is a $12 donation at the door. Two Bingo cards will be provided, or guests may bring their own, but ONLY two Bingo cards may be used during play. Refreshments will be available, and there will be prizes for the winners, and a pie auction. The Ozark Senior Center is located at 727 N. 9th Street, across from Finley Farms.

Wednesday, Sept. 23: The Ozark Chamber of Commerce is holding a ribbon cutting at McDonalds to celebrate their grand opening at 12 p.m. McDonalds is located at 1920 W. Waverly in Ozark.

Friday, Sept. 25: The Ozark Chamber of Commerce is holding a ribbon cutting to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Ozark Mill at Finley Farms at 11:30 a.m.

Tuesday, Sept. 29: The Ozark Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting at Mudhouse Coffee at 11:30 a.m. Mudhouse Coffee is located at 5401 N. 22nd Street in Ozark.
