The Christian County Lions Club meets at 6:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday at Dickey's Barbecue Pit in Nixa, located at 111 N. Massey Blvd. in Nixa. On the third Tuesday, the Lions meet at Godfather's Pizza, located at 510 E. South St. in Ozark. Members of the community interested in learning more about the Lions Club are invited to attend meetings.

Thursday, Sept. 17: The University of Missouri School of Law Veterans Clinic, Tigers for Troops, is offering free legal consultations for Veterans from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Christian County MU Extension Office, 1701 W Jackson St., Suite B, Ozark, MO 65721. Experienced veterans law attorneys, assisted by law students, will provide free consultations regarding: U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) disability compensation benefits, military discharge upgrades, and access to VA healthcare. Saturday, Sept. 19: Christian County C.A.R.E.S. is holding their second annual car show at Cassidy United Methodist Church from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. The event will include raffles, a silent auction and entertainment. Cars can be registered online at https://christiancountycares.org. Cassidy United Methodist Church is located at 5151 N. Fremont Road.
The Christian County Museum and Historical Society is taking another field trip; this time to the beautiful and historic Bull Creek. Meet at the Museum (100 E Elm Ozark MO) at 3 p.m. to caravan or get a map. Please bring a chair, insect spray and water bottle. Henry Schoolcraft, the 1st Iowa Infantry Union Army, and Native Americans all camped by Bull Creek; plus there is historic Cobb-Keaton cemetery and the old Bull Mill site.
The Ozark Senior Center is hosting their Bingo-Rama fundraiser. Doors open at 2:30 p.m.; the event lasts from 3-5 p.m. Admission is a $12 donation at the door. Two Bingo cards will be provided, or guests may bring their own, but ONLY two Bingo cards may be used during play. Refreshments will be available, and there will be prizes for the winners, and a pie auction. The Ozark Senior Center is located at 727 N. 9th Street, across from Finley Farms.
The Christian County Lions Club is hosting their 11th annual 5K/1-mile walk at the Finley River Trail in Ozark at 9 a.m. There is also an option to run a 10K on the Chadwick Flyer Trail. Wednesday, Sept. 23: The Ozark Chamber of Commerce is holding a ribbon cutting at McDonalds to celebrate their grand opening at 12 p.m. McDonalds is located at 1920 W. Waverly in Ozark.
Friday, Sept. 25: The Ozark Chamber of Commerce is holding a ribbon cutting to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Ozark Mill at Finley Farms at 11:30 a.m.
Saturday, Sept. 26: Historic Meadows School on Bull Creek will celebrate 120 years with a reunion from 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Bring a lawn chair and covered dish for lunch. Following a potluck meal at noon, there will be music from The Creek Rocks. Funds are being raised to restore the schoolhouse; all donations will be appreciated.
