Funeral: 11 a.m. Dec. 9 at Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Rev. Daren Roten and Rev. James McHaffie officiating. Burial followed at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, with full military honors.
David V. Manning, 67, of Sparta, died Dec. 6, 2016. He was born Dec. 27, 1948, in Greenville, Texas, to Bill and Aline Manning. On June 29, 1973, he was united in marriage to Carol Joyce McHaffie. To this union two daughters were born. David served in the U.S. Army.
He had worked for the Assemblies of God Headquarters for 36 years, retiring in 2010. David was a member of Ozark Assembly of God. He enjoyed spending time with family, woodworking, taking care of his bees and astronomy.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce; daughters, Michelle Manning and LaDonna Moore and husband Matt; grandsons, Bennett and Corbin Moore and Zane Manning; father, Bill Manning; sisters, Susan Perry and Anita Goldmann and husband Jurgen; and nieces and nephews.
