Dustin Richard Chastain, 30, of Springfield died Feb. 18, 2016. He was born June 10, 1985, in Springfield to Scott Lee Chastain and Pamela Sue Hicks. Dustin attended Willard High School where he was very active in athletics. During high school, he enjoyed ROTC. Dustin was very adventurous. He loved the outdoors and repelling. Dustin also loved to scuba dive. He was a Christian man and will be remembered for his kind spirit and his big heart. Dustin gave the gift of life to others with organ donation.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Dallas Hicks and Richard Chastain; an uncle, Deryll Chastain; a sister, Elizabeth Hope; and a nephew, Lucas Payton.
Dustin is survived by his parents, Scott Lee Chastain and wife Kathy and Pamela Sue Hicks; his siblings, Christy Mathews and husband Charles, Jeremiah and Zachary Ashworth and Amanda Theede and families; grandmothers, Phyllis Hicks and Sue Chastain; other relatives and many friends.
