Mr. Everett Ray Allen, 81, Republic, died April 5, 2014, in his home. He was born Jan. 24, 1933, in Neosho, the son of the late John H. and Jewell V. (Wright) Allen.
Everett served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
He married Amy L. Mitchell Dec. 7, 1953, in Neosho and they were married 55 years before Amy’s death Oct. 14, 2009. A son, Mark Wayne Allen, also preceded Everett in death.
He is survived by a son, Michael Ray Allen; a granddaughter, Alissa Christina Allen; a great-grandson; three brothers-in-law; many nieces and nephews; a close friend, Gerry Pool; and many others who loved him.
