Ozark plated its two runs in the first inning.

Kelsie Batey stole second base and came around to score when Nixa's throw got by the Lady Eagles and rolled all the way to the center-field fence.

Natalie Morgan followed with a solo home run.

Maddy Meierer's finale for Nixa saw her allow only two hits and one walk, while striking out nine.

Ozark (28-7) has won 14 straight entering Quarterfinal play against Blue Springs South (30-2), which knocked off Columbia Rock Bridge (37-2) in the Class 5 District 6 championship game.
