The Finley River Community Foundation extended recognition to Cynthia Murphy Glenn as Ozark's 2020 Citizen of the Year.
Glenn was honored for her "commitments and dedication to the area of Christian County served by FRCF." She is a member of the Ozark and Sparta chambers of commerce and is president of the White River Valley Electric Cooperative Roundup Program.
Glenn can often be found volunteering in the Ozark School District as a parent volunteer, with the Ozark Tigers Athletic Booster Club and the Ozark Tiger Battalion JROTC Booster Club. Through her family-owned company Blue Monkey Towing, Glenn also educates students on the dangers of car accidents with some hands-on learning through the adopt-a-class program.
"Finley River Community Foundation is pleased to recognize this quiet treasure in our community. Her fingerprints and heart show up at the schools and in community service," FRCF President Gerald Chambers said.
