James Dale Whitlock, age 81 of Cape Girardeau, passed away June 5, 2026. He was born July 23, 1944 in St. Charles, Mo., the son of Harold Leon and Lillian Frances (Graves) Whitlock.
Survivors include: his children, Scott Whitlock and wife Becky and Kelly Stamp and husband Tim of Colorado; his siblings, Paul Whitlock and wife Wilma of Rogersville and Patricia Bain of Columbia, Ill.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; and his other siblings, Wayne Whitlock of Boise, Idaho, Ricky Whitlock of Winfield, Mo., Eddie Whitlock of Winfield, Mo., and Evelyn Whitlock of Winfield, Mo.
Jim enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and gardening.
A committal service with military honors was held on Tuesday, June 23, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Paul Whitlock officiated.
Cremation rites will be accorded by Adams Crematory and arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
