League champion Ozark combines with Nixa for five All-COC First-Team selections

Ozark’s Reagan Baade and Tara Venable are both repeat selections to the All-COC First Team.

They are the two of four members of last year’s First Team also named to this season’s First Team.

Baade, a senior outside hitter, led Ozark to an undefeated run through the COC by collecting 346 kills, 274 digs and 37 aces. She finishes with career totals of 903 kills and 975 digs.

Venable, a sophomore outside hitter, netted 312 kills and 46 blocks.

Joining them on the First Team is Ozark junior setter Reece Cook. She garnered 1,017 assists 201 digs and 45 aces

Nixa is represented on the First Team by Paige Pearcy and Jacy Bray.

Pearcy, a senior libero, had 500 digs 611 serve receptions. She more than doubled her digs total of 239 from her junior year.

Bray’s second season as Nixa’s setter saw her post 120 kills 913 assists 39 aces and 294 digs. She had 1,973 career assists.

Also repeating as First Team picks are Webb City’s Sophia Crane and Republic’s Rilynn Finley. The rest of the First Team includes Republic’s Alaina Norman and Carl Junction’s Kylie Scott.

Second-Team selections include Ozark’s Skylar Hilton and Macy Humble and Nixa’s Ava Owens and Chloe Judd.

Hiton collected 248 kills and 70 blocks, while Humble had 392 digs and 448 serve receptions.

Owens netted 261 kills and 67 blocks, while Judd had 259 kills and 81 blocks.

Receiving honorable mention recognition are Ozark’s Ashya Thompson and Nixa’s Amelia White.

The All-Class 6 District 5 First Team includes Baade, Venable, Cook, Pearcy, Bray and Judd.
