SPRINGFIELD — Ozark won a 3-point contest with Greenwood on Friday, but still fell to the Jays 72-61 in a battle for fifth place in the Gold Division at the Blue & Gold Tournament.

The Tigers netted 10 3-pointers, with Hudson Roberts and Kylan Pickren both making four treys.

Roberts finished with 21 points and Pickren 16. They combined for 30 points in the first half, but only seven in the second half.

Greenwood made nine 3s. Collin Clark scored 21 points.

Roberts netted 64 points at the Blue & Gold.

Ozark enters the new year with a 4-8 record for the second straight season.

Lafferty, Sparta whip Branson

Jake Lafferty’s 36 points powered Sparta (11-2) to a 67-46 blowout of Branson in a Gold Division third-place game.

Lafferty totaled 90 points at the Blue & Gold.
