Partnership for art at the X Center

Posted

The halls of the Nixa Community Center are far more interesting and beautiful than they used to be, thanks to a partnership to bring art into the X Center.

The Nixa Department of Parks and Recreation kicked off a partnership with CC Links and invited artists to see their work hanging in the halls of the X Center on Nov. 12. CC Links serves persons with developmental disabilities who live in Christian County. It provides case management, resources, advocacy and activities for eligible persons as determined by the Missouri Department of Mental Health. It also has a program to encourage its clients to try arts, and some of them excel.

Nixa Director of Parks and Recreation Matt Crouse said that the parks department plans to continue its partnership with CC Links in order to rotate the art displays in the halls of the X Center on a continuing basis.
